Momo Hut...Let's Eat!!!

A word of caution here..
The name totally suits the place because It not only serves amazing Momos but it sure does even look like a poor man’s HUT!
So,If you are looking for a place with even an average ambience then this place is just a NO..
Having said this,I am a die hard fan of this place and a regular.
The reason….”Amazing Amazing Food!” at great prices.

It is  a little Tibetan place tucked away in Koramamgla beside the towering Hotel Empire. The momos both the steamed and fried ones are great but what is worth a mention is the authentic Tibetan dishes. All the dishes are available in 3 varieties:Veg,Chicken and beef!

My Hot favourite is the “Chicken THENTUK”.
It is soup like with shredded pieces of chicken, spring onions, and radishes in an awesomely flavoured chicken broth. It tastes like heaven and is so mild on the stomach and am sure quite light on the calories too..
The other dishes include a Noodle soup,Thukpa and the usual Chinese noodles.
The Thukpa is a great looking dish with a flower shaped momo dough bread which is served yet again with a highly flavourful semi dry  chicken.
And now..Wait for the best part…In this super high priced Bangalore here is a place that serves its food at jus Rs 50 per plate.
I know..Just unbelievable!!
So if you are on the look out for a place serving decent food but which is light on the pocket then THIS is your place..

TGIF!!!

Hey Guys,

The weekend is finally here.. What a relief !! and what a Friday I had!
It was so simple and yet so much fun which proves how a handfull of friends can add dazzle to even a simple evening..
The plan  spurned out just instantaneously to hit a pub and have some fun.The only prerequisite being a pool table. We had two options:
Jimmys in Indiranagar &
Guzzler's Inn on brigade road (just adjacent to the tibetan market).

I had seen the latter a lot of times since its in the vicinity of my shopping haven but had never ventured inside because of it's shady outdoors, but this time we dared and went for it..

And surprised we were!! The pub was actually pretty cool on the inside.
Huge TV screens playing the IPL matches, posters adoring the walls and quite a good crowd.
The starters are worth a mention..Just too good.We had a vegetarian in the group so ordered for veg but guys! The only thoughtrunning  in my head all the while was "If the veg is this good ...then just think about the non-vegetarian stuff!!" LOL
Anyway,We had the mushroom in cocktail sauce and golden fried baby-corn..The former is absolutely a must have.
It was just too amazingly yummy.
We all then  headed to the pool table then and it was quite affordable at Rs 100 for half an hour per table.
We had a great time there with the boys playing a good 4 rounds to their satisfaction..
By then it was quite late , so we headed to the Empire for some late night bites and I must say was very surprised by the crowd present there..We chatted and gossiped and enjoyed our DOSA-CHICKEN, the only bad thing being that our vegetarian friend had very minimal options.(She finally had to adjust with an EGG dosa) We  then headed to the NATURALS ice cream parlour for dessert. If you haven't been to this place you really should very soon..It serves the best of natural fruit ice creams..The custard apple and tender coconut are the local favorites but you can also try the Fig,Kiwi,Mango and many more.
Finally,Satisfied,we headed home and crashed on our beds thinking "THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!"
